Comments

It looks to me as tho Ella June Meade was an elocutionist who travelled the midwest in the 1870-80 era. I see her performanced noted in Iowa, Illinois, and New York State. She lived in Afton NY, and married Luther B. Cake around 1883. He was an author. Born in 1850, she's last listed in the 1930 census as a widow, and appears to be living in an institution.

This gallery was the basis for a display at the library, which was mirrored on the web site. This is a sample of our international Bibles, and by no means complete. The staff worked together to compile the most eye-catching for this project.
